Opening hours:

The traditional Nativity Scene by Fra Lorenzo is open every day from 25 December to 12 January, from 8:30 am to 12:30 pm and from 3:30 pm to 7:30 pm.
Visitors can also admire the Nativity Scenes arranged in the convent's cellar every day from 9:00 am to 12:30 pm and from 4:00 pm to 7:30 pm.

The main monastery of sardinian capuchins, place of residence of the provincial father, is built up on an ancient pagan site on the Buoncammino hill. Built in 1592, is today known as “Saint Ignazio Church”.

The Cagliari friary was one of the first Capuchin houses founded in Sardinia: the first stone was laid on 11th October 1591 and it was dedicated to St. Anthony of Padua. Owing to its importance and antiquity it also became known as the "main friary".
