The Genius of art and science

The exhibition Leonardo Invenit. The Genius of art and science, on stage from December 20, 2019 at the Former Town Hall, is Cagliari's tribute to celebrate the 500th anniversary of the death of the great painter, sculptor, artist, inventor and Renaissance dreamer.
The exhibition is divided into three narrative sections: the first is dedicated to the rare volume Collection des Tètes, created by Andrè Dutertre in 1808, which reproduces Leonardo's Last Supper in splendid engraved panels; the second allows us to see and, in some cases, interact with twenty-three models of Leonardo's machines extracted from the book Codex Atlanticus; the third concerns the influence of the Renaissance in the Sardinian art of the 16th century, with the presence of two paintings from the School of Stampace.
