2019-2020 Dance Season

The curtain rises on the 2019-2020 Dance Season organized by the CeDAC / Multidisciplinary Circuit of Entertainment in Sardinia between classic masterpieces and original creations of contemporary choreographers, romantic fairy tales on the pointe and explosive and compelling geometries of moving bodies. Nine titles on the bill from January to April on the stages of the island with the stars of the dance, from the étoile Luciana Savignano to Anbeta Toromani and Alessandro Macario, Nuria Salado Fustè with Alice Leoncini, Alessandro De Ceglia and Matias Iaconianni to (re)discover the most famous ballets and the imaginative tales for paintings signed by artists such as Amedeo Amodio, Luigi Martelletta, Jean Claude Gallotta, Claude Brumachon, Milena Zullo, Jiři Bubenicek, Fredy Franzutti, Marco Batti and Anthony Heinl.
On Saturday, 21 March and Sunday 22 March, the Auditorium del Conservatorio in Cagliari will host Cinderella, an unedited version by Jiři Bubenicek. A performance by the Nuovo Balletto di Toscana in co-production with the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino. A modern ballet inspired by the Grimm Brothers tale, with the evocative music by Sergei Prokofiev, on the history of the courageous girl determined to follow her mother's teachings, in a contemporary style full of metaphors and symbols. An elegant score that recalls the plot, with the stepmother, the stepsisters and the handsome prince, the man of destiny for a reinterpretation of the archetype of the poor girl with the sensitive soul who meets love and happiness.
