Beethoven's Piano Sonatas

This event is related to the sections: Concerts, Conventions, Cultural events and Shows

Nine meetings introduced by Mario Carraro to retrace one of the most important collections of piano literature.

After the summer break, the "32 Piano Sonatas" by Ludwig Van Beethoven, one of the most important collections of piano literature, will be performed at the Conservatory of Cagliari.
From September 22nd to December 22nd, nine sonatas (up to work 90) will be played, those written by the great German composer between 1802 and 1814.

Key figure in nineteenth century music, Beethoven wrote his Piano Sonatas between 1795 and 1822. Initially, the songs were not a unique set, but today they are part of the most important collections of the entire piano literature.

For piano students, the sonatas of the German genius is a fundamental part of their educational path.
As usual, the sonatas will be performed by the students of the Conservatory, and occasionally by their teachers. This last Friday Alessia Pitzalis will perform the Sonata op.90.

Each musical event will be introduced by a historical and critical analysis by Master Mario Carraro.
