A concert in which the most famous Christmas songs will be performed as well as the most famous standard jazz songs.
Sandra Ligas, singer from Cagliari, artistically grown up in folk music environment but with an education in jazz music. She is a light soprano who performs with great personality and sensitivity songs ranging from international evergreens, standard jazz, Christmas songs and songs from her CD “Undas”. Among the pieces in the repertoire will be performed: Blue Moon, Night And Day, Summer Time, What a Wonderful World, Ragazza Di Panema, the classic Adeste Fideles, Annunciation song in its original Latin version, Ave Maria by Gounod, Stille Nacht, White Christmas, Ave Maria by Shubert, Amazing Grace.

A journey to the folk aspect of Italy through the traditional Christmas songs, from those of the peninsula, to Sicily and Sardinia.
A group of musicians and singers offering not only a performance of Christmas songs (so beautiful although not always well-known), but also a tale about their relationship with Christmas, with tradition, devotion and above all, with folk music.
The concert has a clear schedule, divided in four different moments: Advent and birth of Baby Jesus, the participation of the shepherds and bagpipers, offertory's rituals and Epiphany and Star's songs.
Mauro Palmas composer, multi -instrumentalist, was born in Cagliari. He started his career as the young leader of “Nuova Generazione” (“New Generation”), research group that aimed to the historical and critical recovery of folk music. In 1977 he founded the group “Suonofficina” that focused its attention on Sardinian and Mediterranean music. He has collaborated with: Maria Carta, Mauro Pagani e Alia, Piero Marras, Don Cherry, Lester Bowie, Don Moye, Enrico Rava, Paolo Fresu, Antonello Salis, Noa, Gabriele Mirabassi, Antonio Placer, Rita Marcotulli, Lucilla Galeazzi, Riccardo Tesi , Amelia Muge, Mauro Pagani, Andrea Parodi.
Nando Citarella, musician, actor, singer and scholar of the Mediterranean folk, theatrical and musical traditions. He is considered one of the greatest representatives of Neapolitan culture. During his extraordinary artistic career he has studied and collaborated with Eduardo De Filippo, Dario Fo, Lindsay Kemp, Roberto De Simone, Ugo Gregoretti, the National Academy of Santa Cecilia.
Marco Argiolas, jazz player from Cagliari of worldwide reputation, started as a classical musician graduate at the Conservatory of Music in Cagliari, but his career is characterised by the influence of the greatest jazz players in the world, encountered at the most famous Italian and European jazz festivals.

Elena Ledda, absolute protagonist of Sardinian song, offers to the public, with the peculiar expressive power of her voice, an original poetic journey through poignant and evocative stories, full of passion and love for her land. A show of extraordinary intensity where the old and the new blend continuously in the versatile and powerful voice of the singer.
The project is a contribute to the recognition of the Sardinian language as efficient and contemporary, in its infinite possibilities of expression.
Continuing the work of revival of universal themes (birth, growth, job, sacredness) strongly connected to tradition, Maria Gabriela Ledda develops these themes in Sardinian language, in the dimension of our contemporary life. Stories of everyday life, dreams and desires of men and women of our reality, narrated by Elena Ledda and Simonetta Soro, accompanied by a unique music influenced by jazz and Mediterranean atmosphere, alternating cadences sometimes melancholy, sometimes bitter, now sweet and vital, masterfully highlighted by precious arrangements.
A top level ensemble accompanies the singer: Mauro Palmas, her historical partner, on mandola, Silvano Lobina on bass, Simonetta Soro (voice) and Marcello Peghin on guitar.
