National Archaeological Museum of Cagliari

The National Archaeological Museum of Cagliari participates in the event "Colourful Nights" on the 16th, 23rd and 30th of July and on the 6th and the 27th of August, with an extraordinary opening from 8.00 p.m. to 11.00 p.m. (the ticket office closes at 10.30 p.m.).
It will be an opportunity to visit the amazing exhibition dedicated to Mont'e Prama Giant Statues and to take part to several entertainment activities, such as showings, guided tours and concerts.

Former Town Hall
From the 23rd of July, open until midnight every Thursday of July and August

The Ancient Former Town Hall, recently recovered, has been turned into Museum Centre destined to contemporary art and, starting from the 23rd of July, it will house the exhibition" Il disegno del cinema ", a journey inside the Italian cinema, through the pictures that directors use to trace their poetry, to set their own ideas, to develop the imaginary that precedes, accompanies and sometimes exceeds the film production.

Municipal Art Gallery – Public Gardens
Open until midnight every Thursday of July and August

The Municipal Art Gallery houses the city's two most important permanent collections of modern art in town: the Ingrao Collection, composed of more than five hundred works, by Italy's foremost masters of the 20th century, from Boccioni to Morandi and Deperp, and the Sardinian Collection, which offers a comprehensive panorama of the developments of art in Sardinia from 1900 to 1970.

Museum of Siamese Art "Stefano Cardu"
Open until midnight every Thursday of July and August

The museum presents a wide variety of artistic works of different Asian cultures: works of art and precious objects, sculpture, silverware, ceramics and weapons brought to Cagliari in the closing years of the 19th century by Stefano cardu, dated back between 1400 and 1800. The preponderance of works coming from ancient Thailand endows the museum with the largest collection of Siamese art in Europe.

Currently exhibited at the Municipal Historical Archive, the exposition "Sa Gherra 1915/1918. Memorie della Grande Guerra", is a a heart-felt exhibition divided in two acts, that involves the whole citizenry, which has been called to rediscover and pull out of the drawers or a book's pages, the mute and precious evidences of one of the most important and dramatic conflict of our history.

The Ghetto
From the 9th of July, open until midnight every Thursday of July and August

During the “Coloured Nights” the Consorzio Camù organises, in collaboration with the Cultural Association Edukarel Onlus, a rich programme of workshops aimed at children from 6 to 13 years. The activities ranging from archeology to art history, from theatre to music, from ecology to the recycling of materials, will accompany the young participants in the understanding of our cultural heritage, always with an interesting and never boring approach.

EXMA'

From the 23th of July, open until midnight every Thursday of July and August.
From the 18th of July it will be possible to visit the exposition "Pani e madri. La forza generatrice dell'arte" ("Bread and mothers. The generating power of art").

Villa Muscas

Currently in progress at Villa Muscas "Nottetempo 2015", a film exhibition organised by CineMania, in cooperation with the Cultural Department of Cagliari and the Centre of Farming Culture Villa Muscas. A summer bill with many art films and a careful programming focused on quality. The exhibition will continue also in July and in August, with a thick and weekly updated calendar.
