Sunset in Castello with aperitif

Centre of power since the Middle Ages, Castello district well preserves the traces of the past. Every street, every monument tell us the history of the town, in a succession of unmissable glimpses and interesting anecdotes.
At the end of the day we are going to visit the monuments and the most representative buildings: the towers, the ancient streets and the old ramparts. The guided tour will end with a special aperitif: “Sapori di Sardegna”  will guide us to the discover of the food and wine traditions of the island.

Castello district in the Spanish era

Catalan steps...between Inquisition and Wizardry

Born in an ancient land of fairies and giants, between magic rituals and ancient legends, Sardinian folk culture is full of religiousness and superstition, which came up with the Saint Inquisition principles for a long time. Castello by night

Exciting night tour in one of the most characteristic districts of Cagliari. We will walk through the alleys of Castello, among the aristocratic buildings, centuries-old monuments, churches and medieval towers, astonishing mysteries, anecdotes and legends about Castello, telling the stories of great men and false saints, the horrible bombings of 1943 (Cagliari was one of the most damaged towns during the Second World War), the plague and the mass graves.
The Holy Inquisition and its tortures, the alleys of 'noble love', squares that have seen markets and capital executions, the expulsion of the Jews and the Holy Cross, the arch-confraternities of condemned to death and Castello's ghosts. Stages of taste in Castello


The tour aims to rediscover the district of Castello, for centuries center of political, administrative and economic power of the city. Walking through the ancient streets of the district, it will be recalled the history of the Castle and its fortifications remonting to the Pisan period up to the present day, remembering the old houses and the main historical figures who have marked the life of the neighborhood over the centuries. The walk will end with a night visit to the Tower of the Elephant, from the terrace of which you can enjoy a breathtaking view of Castello district. At the end of the tour will be offered a buffet organized by a local restaurant.
