Via Eroi d'Italia Garden
Opening hours:
Every day from 6:15am to 9:45pm.
Located in Via Eroi d'Italia, in the the municipality of Pirri, the garden covers an area of 900 square meters, redeveloped in 2021 as part of the recovery of the city's degraded green areas: previously, the area was a used as a parking.
The area is fenced and can be accessed by two pedestrian gates that lead to a paved path with interlocking doors.
Outside the garden, 20 dedicated stalls have been created (1 stall reserved for people with disabilities, 1 pink stall for pregnant women, 2 stalls for motor vehicles, 1 bicycle rack, 15 stalls for cars) and separated from the garden by a metal fence, aesthetically covered by plant species.
Inside, the garden is divided into two parts: a children's play area of about 100 square meters on high-strength artificial turf, with a swing and a spring toy, a table with extension that can also be used by people with disabilities and a children's table, a fountain, two benches, a multi-compartment waste bin for separate collection; an area of about 200 square meters with paspalum vaginatum turf (grass with reduced water need).
To further embellish and enrich the area, the internationally renowned Sardinian artist Manu Invisible has created a mural that reproduces, under the artist's personal interpretation, an undergrowth crossed by sunlight, with a predominance of shades of green.
