Southern entrance to the Castle, built in 1553 and named after two lion head sculptures, placed at the top of the gate.

In 1553 the Spaniards renewed the defensive walls of the city and, among these structures, the Door of the two Lions was created, surmounted by the two heads of the animal that look on the outside of the walls, in Mazzini street.

It is the gateway from the south to the Castello district.
