The Church of St. Anna is a Baroque church, located in the heart of the Stampace district, in the same place where originally there was a small temple, dating back to Pisan period. The restoration lasted approximately 33 years, mainly dued to a lack of capital.
The impressive structure is characterized by a wonderful staircase. The structure of the church is a typical exemple of Piedmontese Baroque architecture. It features two bell towers three domes of different size and height.
The interior has a single nave, very large and bright, surrounded by four side chapels. It is possible to admire a beautiful polychrome marble altar and the main altar which houses a marble statue of St. Anna.
The building was damaged and partially destroyed by the bombs during the Second World War. lt was later restored and reopened to the public in 1951.
