I'll be waiting for the Moon
Dialogues between Eva Fischer's colours
The Former Town Hall reopens to the public by inaugurating, on 20 May 2021, the exhibition I'll be waiting for the Moon - dialogues between Eva Fischer's colours.
The retrospective aims to retrace the pictorial moments of the Croatian painter Eva Fischer, who worked in oils, watercolours, engraving and lithography. Eva stood out as an exceptionally talented artist with a strong personality: last representative of the post-war Scuola Romana art group, she never stopped fighting, as a woman, a Jew and an Italian artist.
Eva Fischer would have turned 100 on 19 November 2020 and the 140 works on display accompany visitors on an extraordinary and privileged journey into the cultural history of the 20th century. The exhibition also focuses on the personal history of an artist and a woman who experienced the pains of Holocaust and deportation surviving the tumultuous period of racial laws and World War II.
