The district takes its name from the two hills of Tuvixeddu and Tuvumannu, over which it extends, and on which there are also important archaeological testimonies, in particular the Punic necropolis. Tuvixeddu / Tuvumannu borders to the east with Stampace, to the north with Is Mirrionis, to the west with San Michele and to the south with Sant'Avendrace.
