St. Anna is a Baroque church, located in the heart of the Stampace district, in the same place where originally, there was a small temple, date back to Pisan period, which was demolished, in order to give way to the new building. The restauration lasted approximately 33 years, mainly dued to a lack of capital.
The impressive structure is preceded by a staircase. It has a facade built in Piedmontese Baroque Style ,and two bell towers behind which there are three domes with different size.
Inside there is a single nave, very large and bright, surrounded by four side chapels; a beautiful polychrome marble altar, and the main altar which houses a marble statue of St. Anne.
The building was severely damaged and partly destroyed during the bombing in the Second World War, but later it was rebuilt and made available to the faithful.
