Probably erected around 1400, this small church is the seat of the "Arciconfraternita della Solitudine", which curates the traditional Holy Week procession. The 17th century wooden Crucifix safeguarded inside the church is carried in procession.
Church of Saint Giovanni

The Church of Saint Giovanni Battista is located in the Villanova district, in via San Giovanni and hosts the seat of the Archconfraternity of Solitude, active in the organization of some suggestive rites related to Holy Week. Probably erected around the fifteenth century it underwent restoration and the current facade, in neo-Romanesque style, dates back to the twentieth century. The portal is surmounted by a frescoed lunette depicting Saint John the Baptist intent on playing with a lamb, a symbol of Christ.
