Traditional Christmas Market

In piazza Yenne and Corso Vittorio Emanuele II.

Forty tiny wooden houses, 26 in Corso Vittorio Emanuele II and 14 in Piazza Yenne are waiting for visitors every day, from the 1st of December to the 7th of January, with culinary products, handicrafts and gift ideas.

There are also two areas dedicated to children's entertainment, one in Corso Vittorio Emanuele II and the other in piazza Yenne.


The events dedicated to children will last 3 hours, from 05.30 pm. to 08.30 pm., on the following days:

Programme in detail:

Mascots under the Moon: the most famous Disney couples, such as Mickey Mouse and Minnie, Donald Duck and Daisy Duck, will perform in a special dance floor, dressed in Christmas clothes, accompanied by an Elf friend.

Mascot & elf: a well-matched and itinerant couple consisting of a Disney mascot puppet and an elf will disturb and involve passers-by with comic gags and gifts for the nicest.

Snow ball: the giant reproduction of the classic Christmas balls with the snow inside will be the scene of magical encounters, like the one with Santa Claus and Befana.

Christmas record: three elves, a dee jay, a wizard and a dancer will entertain passers-by with games, music, magic shows, under the lights and the artificial snow machine.

Theatrical painting: with the use of the technique of face painting combined with the use of latex, an elf-themed theatrical make-up on present faces will be created, to populate the space with colourful characters.

Balloon art: an invasion of colourful and modelled balloons for everyone.

In addition, from the 5th to the 24th of December, every day from 04.30 pm. to 08.30 pm., launeddas players (typical Sardinian musical instrument) will go up and down the shopping streets, starting from the pedestrianised area of Corso Vittorio Emanuele II and Piazza Yenne, playing traditional Christmas songs. There will also be the master of launeddas Franco Melis, the ethnomusicologist Dante Olianas, the singer Manuela Mameli and a collaboration with the association "Sonus antigus".
