Saint Efisio: the history of the Confraternity

This event is related to the sections: Cultural events and Shows, Guided tours

Special night opening with conference and guided tour.

The National Archaeological Museum joins the Colourful Nights with an extraordinary opening from 8:00 pm to 11:00 pm.

On the Green Night, the Museums invites the visitors to a special event dedicated to the Confraternity: professor Antonio Salis retraces the history of the Confraternity of which he is a honorary member and researcher.

The event inaugurates also a new section of the exhibition “Ephysius. Martyred by the Romans, sanctified by the Christians, venerated by the people” focused on the history of the religious brotherhood: on show the precious ex-voto “pendentif”, donated by the Queen of Austria Maria Theresa, and the Toson d’Oro, a golden medallion donated to the Municipality of Cagliari by the king Carlo II of Sardinia and Aragon in 1679.

"Cantina di Mogoro" will offer the visitors a wine tasting at the end of the event.
